CAMRA Beer Festival 15-19th February 2017 MELWOOD Beer List

We are pleased to have four beers available for your delectation at the Beer Festival this week (in The Crypt of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral).

Citradelic 5.1 – single hopped with Citra this is the first beer we brewed back in 2013. Always popular and only brewed 1-2 per year this beer is super hoppy both in flavour and aroma.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

High Time 4.3Hoppy pale amber session ale. Tons of Mosaic & Equinox hops used very late in the brewing process and dry hopped in the fermenter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kaleidoscope Eyes 5.3 – Back again, by popular demand, this 5.3 version is hopped with Simcoe & and Amarillo. This pale ale has delicious Simcoe passion fruit and apricot flavours totally complimented by Amarillo’s citrusy hit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Liverpool Porter 5.0 –  a delicious porter well hopped and smokey.

Well Happy New Year! Belated we know but we’ve been busy as usual!

We are happy to tell you that Kaleidoscope Eyes has made a return to our beer list, back again, by popular demand, this 5.3 version is hopped with Simcoe & and Amarillo. A pale ale, this beer has delicious Simcoe passion fruit and apricot flavours totally complimented by Amarillo’s citrusy hit. Knowsley Blonde 4.3 – A Single hopped pale beer using Slovakian Atlas hops. A firm favourite with intense notes of lime, blossom and pine, this is our best selling core beer.(Core Beer)

Father Ted 4.2 – A delicious, traditional English bitter using all English hops, Floral flavoured Challenger & Herby Pilgrim.(Core beer)

Liberty 5.0 –  a pale ale flavoured with Liberty hops giving a slightly sweet spicy tang. (semi-core beer)

Whiter Shade of Pale 4.3 – Very pale ale brewed with ‘pine flavoured’ Chinook  hops. (semi-core beer)

Fools Gold 5.3 – brewed with heritage barley, Golden Promise, this IPA is single hopped with English Pioneer giving a distinctly hoppy, pleasant lemon and grapefruit aroma, with cedar and herbal flavour notes. Back due to popular demand! (special beer)

Paleface 4.0 – a pale hoppy beer brewed with lots of late Summit hops giving it a full flavour with great mouth-feel and long hoppy aftertaste. (semi-core beer)

LOVELIGHT 3.8 – Light very hoppy blonde beer. Three types of American hops make this beer a bold yet refreshing drink with tons of hop aroma and a crisp biting flavour; slightly stronger 4.0 version of this popular ale.

Derby Stout – 5.0 a delicious chocolatey coffeish stout. (seasonal beer)

Moondance 4.3– Hopped with Magnum and Nelson Sauvin this beer has similar wine-like flavours to the grape variety used in wine-making.

Stanley Gold 4.3Triple American hopped with Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo giving this beer a crisp hoppy flavour and a beautiful citrus aroma; a well-balanced but complex, refreshing beer.
